A wonderful still-life reminiscent of the turn of the 20th century fauvist movement, which Anthony admires so much. It's hardly surprising then, that this is one of his personal favourites. A classic still life, in many ways, but Carey's unique palette and technique takes it beyond its subject matter to offer the viewer an immersive experience of colour and texture.
