The studio garden - The 'bridge' garden.

I call it the 'bridge garden' for obvious reasons. The garden isn't that big but this part is just down the path from the studio and is the main reason why I often don't accomplish as much work as I'd hoped to in a day. When the sun is out, the temptation to potter around in the garden is overwhelming. But I do find it an inspiration to my work and especially to my still-life work, as this is where most of the subjects are harvested. I'm not the greatest gardener in the world, in fact just the opposite, but I do like an outdoor space in which I feel comfortable. I also like different 'moods' in the garden, so I have divided it up into various sections, bridge garden, fern garden, lower garden, the pit (don't ask!), etc, each with their own feel. Each section is very small and most are work in progress, but I do enjoy both the work and the inspiration the garden brings me in general.
