TOOLS OF THE TRADE
Anthony normally works in acrylic paint on
stretched canvas & has settled on the Daler
Rowney range of media. Daler offer a
complete professional range of painting
media & equipment, ensuring industry
standard longevity & top quality results.
Anthony uses Cryla & system 3 acrylic paint,
Daler stretched canvases, Daler brushes & removable varnish (normally Gloss). Should it ever become necessary, the varnish can be removed by white spirit for cleaning purposes, without affecting the painting underneath.
Occasionally, Anthony paints in oils (particularly in the height of summer), but this is quite rare. He prefers acrylic for the quick drying time, lack of smell & ease of cleaning. Acrylic paints have proved themselves over time to rival oils & have become a standard media. They are used by professional & famous artists the world over.
FRAMING
Most paintings are supplied with a light natural
wood frame, slightly rounded & approx 1 ¾”
wide. This frame compliments Anthony’s work
& being neutral, it suits most installations.
Occasionally, a painting will be ‘wrapped
around’, painted on the sides of the canvas
& consequently has no frame. Paintings
can of course, be purchased without frame,
or with a different style of frame. The framing is professionally handled by HADDON GALLERIES, in Torquay.
