From music to art...

Most of Anthony’s working life has been spent as a professional musician & it is this, together with his home in beautiful South Devon & his love of turn of the 20th century art that have clearly influenced his unique style of painting.

He explains “Music & art are the same thing….even much of the terminology is the same. I almost accidentally stumbled into painting, as at the time I had a recording studio that needed some pictures, so I painted some quick abstracts. Studio clients were buying every one that I produced & before I realised it, it was too late….I had already started that wonderful voyage into discovery & self expression that I hope will never end.”

Music is obviously a great influence for Anthony, but as mentioned earlier, he also cites the wonderful area of South Devon, as well as Matisse, Picasso, Gaugin & all of those great, great painters of the time as major inspiration.

Anthony's work appeals not only to the casual purchaser, seduced by his vibrant palette & creative composition, but also to the more serious art collector who appreciates the quality & uniqueness of Anthony’s work. Paintings have been shipped to the United States & Australia as well as the UK.
